Daylon Cross Lawson, 24, passed away on December 17, 2025, due to injuries sustained from a car accident. He was born on June 27, 2001, in Henderson County.
Daylon graduated from Durman High School in SC and worked very hard as an apprentice carpenter with Morgan Corp. Daylon loved music, History and Greek Mythology. He was an amateur photographer who loved taking pictures of nature. Daylon was very smart and had many friends that loved him as much as he loved them.
Daylon is survived by his mother, Malena Parker; father, Tal Lawson (Sondra); sisters, Maya Lawson, Alissa Craig, Maria Torres, Jocelyn Ambrosim, and Michaila Day; brothers, Colin Lawson, and Devon Thomas; paternal grandmother, Millie Lawson; paternal grandfather, Papa-Joe Lawson (Brenda); papaw, Bobby Rector (Patsy); nieces, Eva and Kyla Day; cousins, Kennedy Smiddy, Colby Parris, Kaylan Parker, Nevaeh Parker, Ashlee Murphy, Austin Smiddy and Justin Piercy; uncle, Donnie Parker; and aunts, Tammy Lawson and Tonya Smiddy (Kenny).
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, December 22, 2025, in Avery's Creek Christian Cemetery, Arden. Reverend Mike Thomas will officiate. The family will receive friends, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm, Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service.
