Denise Carlisle, 72, of Marshall, went home to her Lord Jesus on September 24, 2025. She was preceded in death by her late parents, Pansy Faye Ogle and Malcomb Franklin Carlisle; stepfather, Roy ogle; as well as her husband, Reeves Surrett; and her brother, James Lister.

She is survived by her daughter, Vanessa Pfluger (Kirby) of Marshall; brother, Michael Carlisle (Angie) of Marshall; sisters, Audrey Diann Carlisle of Marshall, Teresa Ogle of Marshall and Lynn Eimer (Paul ) of Hubert, NC; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Sonja Higgins , Harold Massie both of Marshall, Judy Burnette of Mars Hill, and Jordan Pfluger of Marshall; two beloved dogs, Pansy and Scuttles.

Denise was loved by all who knew her and her memory will be forever cherished by her loved ones.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, October 18, 2025, in Ivy Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Larry Rogers will officiate.
