Don L. Denton, 72, of Marshall, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2021. He is a lifelong resident of Madison County and the son of the late Edward Clyde and Catherine Reid Denton. Don was formerly employed with Burlington Industries for over 25 years and a member of Peeks Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Joe Denton.

Don is survived by his wife, Sherlena White Denton; daughters, Tammy Carpenter (Tad) and Melissa Ouchoa (Eluide); sons, Donnie Denton, and Daniel Banner (Brianna); sister, Helen Proffitt, brothers, Wayne and David Denton; grandchildren, Alicia Sprouse, Olivia Carpenter, Melquezidec Ouchoa, Aaron Banner, Maverick Gillespie, Chevelle and Daniel Banner; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverend Mark Crowder will officiate. Burial will follow in Tweed Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2pm Tuesday prior to the service.

Don's faith in the Lord and his love for his family were his life.
