Donald Paul Rice, age 80 of Mars Hill passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Memorial Mission Hospital. He is the son of the late Champ Sr. and Sophia Norton Rice. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Reva Allison. Donald is a member of East Fork Church of God and enjoyed music and playing his guitar.

He is survived by his daughters, Donia Rice and Melissa Rice Embler; sisters, Clara Ball and Evelyn Meadows; brothers, Jeter, Jack, and Champ Jr. Rice; grandchildren, Dustin, Joshua and Jaidyn Embler; great grandchild, Chloe Embler and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM Monday, December 21, 2020 at East Fork Church of God Cemetery. Reverends Eric Young and Steve Davis will officiate.
