Donald Lee Shipley, 61, of Leicester, passed away Monday, April 13, 2020. He is the son of Bettie Buckner Kirby and the late Zane Plemmons. In addition to his father, Donald is preceded in death by a brother, Larry Case. He loved playing his guitar and carving birds of prey.

In addition to his mother, Donald is survived by his wife, Marilyn Board Shipley; daughter, Sam Shipley; sisters, Caroline Shipley, Megan Burchfield, and Lizanne Sanchez; brother, David Plemmons; and several nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held at 11am Thursday, April 16, 2020, at Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
