Donna "Cricket" Denny Galloway, age 63, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023. Born May 4, 1960, she was a daughter of the late John Denny and Frances Presley Wood. She had a lot of hardships in her life but faced them with strength and determination. May she now rest in peace. She loved gardening, quilting and her dog "Dixie".

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Diane Kitchen, and Marie Wheeler.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Melissa Griffin, and husband Rick; 2 grandchildren, Greyson, and Rylee Griffin; and 6 nephews: Jeremy, Jeffrey, Jon, David, Nathan, and Alex.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday May 30, 2023 in Upper Walnut Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Jeremy Kitchen will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blue Ridge Funeral Service to help with the memorial expenses.
