Donna Tipton Hensley, 60, passed away unexpectedly at her home, July 9, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Gary Allen Hensley; and her mother, Patty Tipton Meadows.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jessica English; two grandsons, Izaiah Jones and Jameson Yates; one granddaughter, Jazmine Jones, who was the center of her world.

She is also survived by her two sisters, Michele Tipton (Kurt), and Annie Meadows (Charles); brothers, Matthew Tipton, and Jay Tipton (Julie); several nieces and nephews; many cousins; a very special aunt, Betty Ive Pressley; mother-in-law, Frances Hensley; and close friends, Judy Burnette, and Tammy Lynn Chandler. Donna also shared an extra close bond with her niece, Braylee, who held a special place in her heart.

Donna will be remembered for the nicknames she had for everyone of "her babies", the love she gave so freely to her family and everyone who she came in contact with. Donna leaves countless cherished memories that will live in the hearts of all who knew her!

A funeral service will be held at 11am Friday, July 17, 2026, in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral & Cremation Service. Reverend Dennis Shepherd will officiate. Burial will follow in Freeman Gap Cemetery. Jay, Matthew, Coleman, Dizzle, Troy, and Izaiah will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blue Ridge Funeral Service, PO Box 27, Mars Hill, NC 28754, to assist the family with final expenses.
