Ms. Donna Sue McHone, 59, of Weaverville, NC passed away Saturday, October 28th, 2023, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. She was born in Ft. Knox, Kentucky to R. J. and Hilda Whittemore McHone. Donna was an administrator in the Forest Service Department. She was a Member of Browns Chapel Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Donna is survived by her brothers: Junior McHone (Anna), Joshua McHone (Olivia), and Justin McHone (Brittany), nieces and nephews: Colby McHone (Nicole), Caleb McHone, Kelsi McHone, Khaley McHone, Brodie McHone, Correy McHone, and Abel McHone, and great nieces and nephews: Raelei, Rylinn, Aubrey, Reagan, Annalee, Isabella, Micah, and Kaius.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 1st, 2023, at 2:00pm at Browns Chapel Baptist Church with the Reverends Phillip Wilson, Luther Spivey, (Uncles) Delaine Whittemore, and Duain Whittemore officiating. Burial will follow in the Penland Cemetery near Brown Chapel Baptist Church. The McHone family will receive friends from 12:30pm until 2:00pm prior to the funeral on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to Blue Ridge Funeral Service, PO Box 27, Mars Hill, NC, to assist with final expenses.
