Donna Kay Bailey Powell, 56, went to Heaven, Sunday, October 2, 2022. She was a native of Buncombe County having lived the last several years in Conover, NC. She was the daughter of Jack Bailey and the late Esther Coffey Bailey. In addition to her mother, Donna is preceded in death by her son, Ryan Cauble; mother-in-law, Lois Baker; grandmother-in-law, Beatrice Hollifield and sister-in-law, Julia Bailey. She was a 1983 graduate of North Buncombe High School and a member of Mountain View Baptist Church in Hickory.

Donna is survived by her husband, Rick Powell; brothers, Rick Bailey (Debbie), and Keith Bailey (Vickie); sister, Tricia Banks (Doug); several nieces and nephews; and her special fur babies, Colby & Brody, whom she loved very much.

A memorial service will be held at 6pm Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service, Mars Hill, NC. Reverend Zack Bailey will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Donna loved her family, but most of all, she loved the Lord and had a strong faith that inspired so many, until the end.
