Doris "Pat" Bartlett Propst, age 79, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2024. She was born on November 23, 1944, in Buncombe County.

Preceded in death by her mother, Pearl Bartlett Padgett, Pat was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John Norman Propst.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sandy Jarnagin; son, Steve Propst (Dyanne); six grandchildren, Colton Jones (Adam), Lauren Propst (Lucas), Chance Propst, Savannah Marlow (Dylan), Samantha Marlow, and Gage Jarnagin; one great granddaughter, Caroline Caldwell; and special niece, Pam Collins.

Pat's family would like to express special thanks to The Greens of Weaverville, & Compassionate Care Hospice for the care they provided.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday July 27, 2024, in Mountain View Memorial Park, Black Mountain. Preacher Kevin Frederick will officiate. Steve Propst, Lucas Ziermann, Dylan Mann, Jackie Penley, Gage Jarnagin, and Rodney Lytle will serve as pallbearers.
