Doris Jean Radford Rice, age 80, of Weaverville, went home to be with Lord on Sunday, October 23, 2022.

Doris was born on June 7, 1942 to the late Harmon and Iris Ramsey Radford. She loved the Lord and attended Mount Sheba Baptist Church. She was a former employee of AB Emblem and Hadley's. Doris is also preceded in death by her loving husband James Rice who passed away in 2010, infant son, sister, JoAnn Radford and niece, April Dawn Radford.

She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Rice, and brother Roy Radford (Barbara).

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, October 28, 2022 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service with Reverend Steve Rhinehart and friend Stevie Wallin officiating. Burial will follow at Radford Ramsey Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
