Dorothy Lee Miller Honeycutt, 69, passed away, April 13, 2015 at Mission Hospital's Memorial Campus. She was a native of Yancey County and the daughter of the late Johnny Decatur and Melvie Moore Miller. Mrs. Honeycutt is survived by her husband, George David Honeycutt; sons, Rodney Honeycutt (Deana) of Kannapolis, NC, Kevin Honeycutt of Myrtle Beach, SC; sisters, Vergie Beasley of Lynchburg, VA; brothers, Hiram Miller (Mary) of Burnsville, Donald Miller (Linda) of Savannah, GA; grandchildren, Josh, Hannah and Nayla Honeycutt and Nicole Powell. A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Wednesday, April 15, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Burnsville, NC. Reverend Jim Seaton will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
