Ms. Maxine Metcalf, 78, of Asheville, NC passed away on Saturday, February, 4, 2023, at Madison Health and Rehabilitation Center in Mars Hill, NC. She was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Katherine Metcalf. Maxine was preceded in death by her previous husband: Johnny Briant, one daughter: Rena Lunsford, and two sisters: Joyce Ann Metcalf and Jeanette Pegg.

Maxine is survived by her son: Dane Metcalf; son-in-law: Don Lunsford, a brother: Dean Metcalf, two grandchildren: Brandy and Jeremy Metcalf; one great granddaughter: Kalista Greene, and several nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service is planned for Maxine.
