Douglas Vince Goldsmith, age 65, of Alexander passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Mission Hospitals. He is the son of the late Jimmy Lee and Thelma Higgins Goldsmith.

He is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Goldsmith; brothers, Mike, Ronnie, Bruce, Curtis, and Tommy Goldsmith; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Aaron, and Brianna; great grandchildren, Ayden, Veeka, Damian and Milo and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Burial will follow in the Higgins Cemetery in Yancey County. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
