Douglas William Lunsford, 59, of 44 Gabriel's Creek Road, died October 29, 2015, at his residence. He was the son of the late Troy and Kathrine Marlor Lunsford. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an older sister.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Bechtol Lunsford; sons, Brian and Mitchell Lunsford; sister, Diane Owle; brothers, Troy Jr., Robert, David, Neil and Don Lunsford; grandchildren, Kailey, Madison and Mia and a special friend, Henry Marlor. Doug was raised by two special people, Bertha and Myrtle Marlor.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, October 31, 2015, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Rev. Woody Dillingham will officiate. Burial will follow in the Gabriel's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers are Matthew Bechtol, Will West, Brian, Mitchell, John and Josh Lunsford. Honorary Pallbearer, Josey Wells.
