Edd Shook, 87 years old from Weaverville, NC went to his Heavenly Home on Saturday, August 21st 2021 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. He is preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Macie Shook: brothers Joe, James and Fred Shook; and sister Ethel Rice.

Edd Shook was a native of Madison County and had resided in Weaverville most of his life. He was retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation. He was a faithful member of Locust Grove Baptist Church. He loved raising his garden and giving away his prized tomatoes to friends and family, and was an avid NASCAR fan. Most of all, Edd loved his grandsons.

Edd is survived by his wife of 59 years, Brenda Tomberlin Shook, his son, Eddie Shook (Tammy) of Mars Hill, his grandsons; Derek Shook (Kerri) of Laramie WY and Bryson Shook (McKenzi) of Weaverville; one great-granddaughter, Katherine Shook of Laramie WY; brothers, Ned Shook and Jerry Shook; and sisters Noreen Beard and Francis Revis.

Graveside services will be held at Locust Grove Baptist Church Cemetery 10:00am Tuesday, August 24, 2021. Reverends Adam Ponder and Doctor Harry Culbertson, Jr will officiate.
