Edna Ruth Rice, age 93 of Weaverville went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, February 21, 2022. She is the daughter of the late Cays and Stella Ponder Robinson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dallas W. Rice and sister, Eva Robinson Hunter of Cartersville, VA.

She is survived by three daughters, Rebecca Hyatt (David), Sheila Franklin and Racheal Rice all of Weaverville; son, Ivan Rice also of Weaverville; two brothers, Rev. Carl Robinson (Joyce) and Leonard Robinson (Linda) and a grandson, Jonathan Stamey of Sylva.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 26, 2022 in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverend Phillip Parker and Special Speaker Sawyer Foxx will officiate. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2:00 – 3:00pm prior to the service.
