Edward Junior Shelton, 82, of Mills River, NC, formerly of Greeneville, TN, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025. He was the son of the late Fred & Marie Helton Shelton.

In addition to his parents, Edward is preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Ann Shelton, sister, Deborah Jones, and brothers, Robert, Larry, and Jerry Shelton.

Edward was a farmer for more than 70 years. He spent 40 of those years farming in Greene County, TN. He began farming in high school to help provide an income for his family. He was also an avid arborist, horse trainer, and accomplished horseman.

Edward is survived by his wife of 62 years, Margaret Allison Shelton, daughter, Shelley L. Robinson and husband Michael Rodney, son, Robert Edward Shelton; sisters, Gladys Ballard, Hazel Willis, and Wanda Phillips; brother, Preston Shelton; grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Robinson, Andrew Michael Robinson, Carlos Lemus (Michelle), Skyler, Dylan, and River Shelton; five great grandchildren, Anthony, Alayna, Aiden, Abel, and Ashton Lemus; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Greeneville, TN.
