Obituary
Edward Junior Stanton, age 89, of Weaverville, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025. He was born on September 11, 1935, in Madison County, to the late Eddie G. and Dora Ramsey Stanton. Also preceding him in death was his wife, Mabrie Dixon Stanton who died in 2024.
Ed retired from Balcrank Corporation.
He is survived by his sons, Steve Stanton (Sheila) and Don Stanton.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday March 1, 2025, in Mt. Sheba Baptist Church. Reverend Steve Rhinehart and Rev. James Hensley will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm prior to the service at the church.
