Elaine McKinney Maynor, 62, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on March 3, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. following an extended illness. Elaine was the daughter of the late Carlie and Marylene McKinney. She has now been reunited with her parents, along with twins that she miscarried. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Zale Maynor; daughter, Amanda McElrath and husband Joshua; son, Curtis Maynor and wife Jennifer; and grandchildren Nathanael and Katelynn McElrath. She is also survived by her brothers David McKinney and wife Janie, and Gerald McKinney and wife Becky, along with several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Alexander, NC where she played the organ, and loved to sing. Special thanks to the staff of Brian Center of Weaverville for taking care of Elaine like she was family. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Monday, March 6, 2017, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Revs Larry Sprouse, Jerry Jamerson & Brian Coates will officiate. Burial will follow in Little Ivy Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Sunday, March 5, 2017, at the funeral home.
