Ms. Elva "Dorene" Carson Roberts, of Weaverville, NC passed away Saturday, February, 4, 2023. Dorene was the daughter of the late Richard W. and Virginia J. Black Carson. She was preceded in death by the father of her children: John Roberts, and a daughter: Jeanne Lynne Sherman. Dorene was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a practical joker and always happy and smiling.

Dorene is survived by her daughter: Deborah Dorene Roberts, son Eddie Roberts (Tina), five grandchildren: Jonathan Sherman, Scotty Sherman (Jessica), Christina Rotundo (Ryan), Elisha Greene, and Nicole Roberts, and six great grandchildren: Carson, Canaan, Mackenzie, Ariyah, Cade, and David.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at 11:00am in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel at Blue Ridge Funeral Service with the Rev. Keith Watkins officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Weaverville, NC. The Roberts family will receive friends on Tuesday evening,

February 7, 2023, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Service in Mars Hill, NC.
