Ms. Emma Jean Hensley Maxwell, 84, of Weaverville, NC passed away on August 20, 2022, at Care Partners Solace Center in Asheville, NC. Emma was the daughter of the late Floyd and Maude Cole Hensley. Emma loved her family, was an avid gardener and enjoyed her flowers. She was formerly employed with Mills Manufacturing, Sonopress and Ingles. In addition to her parents, Emma was preceded in death by a sisters: Robbie Hensley and Annie Phillips; brothers: James Grady Hensley and Mike Hensley.

Emma is survived by her daughter: Emily Robertson and husband Earl; two sons: Tommy Maxwell and wife Carolyn and Martin Maxwell; one brother Charlie Hensley; four grandchildren: Justin Robertson and wife Kim, Laura Houston, Nicholas Maxwell, and Julie Maxwell; and five great grandchildren: Caleb, Eli, Rylee, Luke, and Dane and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service with the Rev. Phillip Parker and Chaplin Derrick Whitson officiating. Burial will follow in Clark's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Weaverville, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral.

Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, great grandsons and special friends.

The family would like to express a special thanks to her meals on wheels delivers, Roy, Donna, Pam and Charlie, as well as her special angels from Hospice, Misty and Jolie.
