Eugene Briscoe, 81, formerly of Mars Hill, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021, in Winston-Salem, NC. He was a native of Madison County, where he lived most of his life, and the son of the late David and Marjorie Ray Briscoe. Briscoe was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, and he was formerly employed with Ingles Markets for many years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Miller Briscoe; two daughters, Jacqueline Ann and Vickie Elizabeth Briscoe; two sisters, Geraldine Baker and Juanita Chambers; and two brothers, Jerry and Billy Briscoe.

Eugene is survived by his daughter, Anita Jones; sister, Virginia Kimborough; two brothers, Bobby and David Briscoe; grandchildren, Jasmin Jones and Lamar Upchurch; and two great grandchildren, Addilyn and Ezekiel Jones.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverend Kevin Barnette will officiate. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
