Everett Calvin Hensley. 82 of Weaverville, passed away December 10, 2023. He was the son of the late John and Althea Hensley and a native of Madison County having lived most of his life in Buncombe County. Everett was employed by American Enka and a mechanic in the US Army. He was interested in the Beacon food ministry.

In addition to his parents, Everett is preceded in death by his sisters, Sarah Jane Duck, Mammie Hensley and Dorothy Yearout, and brothers, Garrett Harrison, Baxter, and Coy Hensley.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Ballew Hensley, a daughter, Donna Gail Hensley Garrison (Lewis "Luke"); grandchildren, Karah Wilson (Chris) and Adam Garrison (Ivy); great grandchildren, Talon, Kamryn, and Levi Garrison, and Quentin Wilson.

A funeral service will be held at 1pm Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Roger Boone, Sonia Huntley Burleson, and Jerry Shelton will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Everett was always willing to help in any way and fiercely protective of his family.
