Floyd McKay Deweese, age 89, of Lavenia Lane passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at his residence. He is the son of the late John and Myrtle Cox Deweese. In addition to his parents he preceded in death by his wives, Gladys Shufford King and Nellie Seay Deweese; sisters, Blanche and Jo and brother Jimmy Deweese.

He is survived by his daughter, Wilma Hensley (Richard); sons, Edward Deweese (Marcia) and Billy Deweese (Annette); sisters, Glenda Carver and Jerlene Metcalf; brothers, Bobby and Donald Deweese; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; seven great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 2:00PM Friday, September 24, 2021 in Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverend Jerry Wheeler Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow in the Holcombe Branch Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be; Ricky, Bryan, and Ryan Hensley, Derek Hollifield, Bill and Steven Deweese and honorary pallbearer, Todd Deweese. The family will receive friends 12–2PM prior to the service.

At other times the family will be at Floyd's home.
