Frances Stockton Fox, 86, of Mars Hill passed away, March 15, 2024, at Mission Hospital while surrounded by her loving family. She was born, October 31, 1937, in Pickens, SC to the late Rev. Charles and Dorothy Clubb Stockton. In addition to her parents she is preceded by her husband, Edwin Fox; sisters, Linda Keever and June Edwards; brothers, Bill and Don Stockton.

Early in life, Frances worked at the NC School of the Deaf and she retired from St. Joseph's Hospital. She attended Morning View Missionary Baptist Church.

She deeply loved and cared very much for her family. She was a Godly mother and example, prayer warrior which prayed for her family daily. She instilled biblical morals and work ethics to her family. She helped raise many children by babysitting them and always started every day out by having them recite Psalms 118:24, This is the day the Lord hath made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Frances is survived by a daughter, Deanna Buchanan, sons, Eddie Fox (Sheila), Steven Fox (Jamie Thomasson), Dana Fox (Rhonda), and Phillip Fox (Heather); brother, Larry Stockton (Teresa), sisters-in-law, Joyce Bryant and Gail Stockton; brothers-in-law, Harold Dean Edwards and Gilson Keever; grandchildren, Whitney Roberts (Daniel), Cameron Gunter, Holly Peek (Scott), Ryan Gunter, Lindsey Fox (Tyler), Laura MacDonald (Daniel), Ray Buchanan (Emma), Kelsey Buchanan, Madison Buchanan, Garrett Fox (Katlyn), and Jessi Fox; great grandchildren, Paige and Tucker Peek, Carrie Gunter, Carter Conard, Lexie, Jaden, Ciara Gunter, Ryli, and Brady Gunter; Elijah Buchanan, and Henry Fox; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many daily phone buddies.

A funeral service will be held at 11am Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Blue Ridge Funeral & Cremation Service. Brother Eddie Fox and Rev. Bill Jenkins will officiate. Burial will follow in Old Bull Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

At other times, the family will be gathering at the home of Dana Fox, 150 Snowdrift Lane, Mars Hill, NC (off of Bull Creek Road) from 3pm Saturday, March 16th through Tuesday March 19th.

The family would also like to extend their sincere appreciation to the excellent care at Mission Hospital ER, Room A446, and CICU, given by all the doctors and staff.

She will be greatly missed by all, but we have many wonderful memories and God's grace to carry on.
