Fred Norton, 75, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018. He was a native of Madison County and son of the late Ernest and Della Metcalf Norton.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Cole Norton; son, Scott Norton (Marybeth); stepdaughter, Lavonne Engelman (Rob) and Karen Clarke; brother, Jerry Norton; niece, Lakata Medford (Steve); uncle, Dink Metcalf and his special friend "Peanut".

Fred was owner of Madison Metals Supply Company, an avid golfer, loved visiting his home in Florida and was a member of the Bald Creek Masonic Lodge #397 AF/AM.

The family will receive friends from 5:00PM - 7:00PM Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. A memorial service will be held at 7:00PM with Rev. Stanley Peek officiating.
