Frederick Ernest Ellis Loomis, 80, of Weaverville passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2019. He was a native of Montreal, Canada, the son of the late Dan and Marjorie Ellis Loomis and is also preceded in death by a brother. Fred is a member of St. Matthew's Anglican Church.

He is survived by his wife, Marlene Kolesky Loomis; one daughter, five sons, three sisters and several grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11am Friday, November 1, 2019 at Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Father Greg Miller will officiate. Masonic rites will be conducted by Bald Creek Masonic Lodge #397 AF&AM.
