Genive Bailey Ramsey, 81, of Old California Creek Rd., Mars Hill, passed away February 23, 2018. She was a native of Madison County and the daughter of the late Gus and Jane Doan Bailey. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Fred Ramsey and a brother Vaughn Bailey. Mrs. Ramsey is survived by daughters, Wanda DeHart, Donna Ramsey (Owen Slagle); son, Eddie Ramsey (Connie); sisters, Edna Robinson and Joyce Bailey; brother, Morris Bailey; grandchildren, Donald and Brett DeHart, Amanda and Samantha Ball, Dustin and Austin Ramsey; great grandchildren, Dakota DeHart, Alexis Harris, Destiny Ball and Miley Waldroup. A funeral service will be held 1:00pm Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Preston Riddle, Danny Sprinkle and Kermit Ball will officiate. The burial will follow in the Ramsey Family Cemetery.
