George W. Brown, 94, of Gabriel's Creek Rd. passed away September 23, 2017. He was a native of Madison County and the son of the late Jake and Nora Edwards Brown. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by sisters, Atlas Brown and Wilma Langley and brothers, Harley and Dennis Brown. He is survived by his wife, of 69 years, Edith Sawyer Brown; daughter Pam Luther (Rick); brother, Fletcher Brown and several nieces, nephews and many friends. A funeral service will be held 11:00am Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverend's Harry Culbertson Jr. and Gary Coates will officiate. The burial will follow in the Gabriel's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30pm Monday, September 25, 2017 at Blue Ridge Funeral Service.
