Gerald Vandez Riddle, 55, of Barnardsville passed away Friday, November 23, 2018. He is the son of Rexie Louise Ledford Riddle and the late Charles Commadore Riddle. In addition to his father, he preceded in death by brothers, Jimmy and Cecil Riddle. Gerald loved fishing and being outdoors. He was a hardworking man and loved being with his family. In addition to his mother, Gerald is survived by his wife, Ashton Rose Heppner Riddle; daughters, Dawn, Jessica and Summer Ball, Danielle Johnson and Vanessa Riddle; sons, Jarred and Christopher Riddle; sisters, Patricia Franklin and Diana Hunter; brother, Jerry Riddle; several grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2:00PM Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverend Buck Thomas will officiate. Burial will follow in the Ledford-Atkins Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1-2PM prior to the service.
