Gladys Moore Banks, 75, passed away on Saturday April 16, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Chester and Edith Chandler Moore. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James A. Banks; grandson Donnie Letterman: sisters, Marie Lunsford, Etta Boyce, Mary "Nip" Newman; brothers, Ricky, Lawrence and Walt Moore.

She is survived by daughters: Karen Letterman, Brenda McKee (Larry), and Tiwanna Fox; sons: Keith, Ken, Doug, Phillip and Darrin Banks (Nadine), Stormy Fox (Mrs. Banks thought of him as one of her own); sisters: Annie Mae Autrey, Shirley Miller and Linda Jones; brothers: Carol, David, Bill and Robert Moore; 17 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm Friday, April 22,2022, in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service with Reverend, Larry Moore, Jessica Perrigan and Stormy Fox. The family will receive friends from 11-12:30 pm prior to the service. Burial will follow at Elk Mtn. Community Cemetery in Woodfin, NC.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Blue Ridge Funeral Service at P.O. Box 27, Mars Hill N.C., 28754 to help the family with final expenses.
