Grady Lister, Jr. age 90, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 13, 2021. He was the son of the late Grady and Lucille McAbee Lister. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Roxie Massey Lister; sisters, Mildred Harrison and Margie Revis; brother, Harvey Lister and a great granddaughter, Kylie Anne Shepherd.

Mr. Lister was born April 29, 1931, in Inman, South Carolina. He retired from Ethan Allen in 1996. His career in working with wood brought him much happiness. His genuine love for work drove him to continue to work varies jobs after retirement. He was a great provider and loving father, father-in-law, grandfather and great-grandfather that will be missed dearly. He never saw a stranger and he would talk your ears off. He taught his family how to love as he loved others unconditionally.

He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Brock and husband Quincey of Mars Hill; sisters, Kathy Duncan Ward of East Flat Rock, Sara Ellis of Hendersonville; grandchildren, Brittnee Shepherd and husband Clint of Barnardsville and Landon Brock of Mars Hill; and great grandchildren, Sadie, Isaac and Ellie Shepherd.

Reverend Steve Rhinehart will officiate a private graveside service.
