Grady Martin, 72, of Marshall passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at his home. He was the son of the late Roxie Carrie Martin Massey and was born April 29, 1949 in Madison County. Grady was a lifelong resident of Marshall, and was preceded in death by his wife Marie Thomas Martin who died in May, 2021; grandson, Cameron Martin; sister, Nancy Treadway; brother, J.L. Martin and step-father Cordell Massey.

Survivors include his loving children; three sons, Michael (Carrie), Terry, and Matthew Martin; sister, Geneva Quinn; grandchildren: Amber, Heather, Michael, Gabriel, Christian (Andy), Taylor, and Natalie Martin, Sarah Heiser and Lena Nevaeh Avery; one great granddaughter, Daisy Bodford and sister in law, Martha Hayden.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at 2:00pm in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel at Blue Ridge Funeral service in Mars Hill, NC. Rev. Jim Moore will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Alexander, NC. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00pm-2:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
