Gregory Nathaniel Barnette, 58, of Mt. Olive Drive, Mars Hill, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2019 at his home. He is the son of Herbert and Flora Young Barnette.

In addition to his parents Greg is survived by his wife of 23 years, Brenda Roberts; five brothers, Jerry Carson (June), Larry Carson (Rhonda), Dennis Carson, David Carson, and Kevin Barnette (Recy); grandchildren, Eddie, Victoria, Creed, and Lilly; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11am Monday, November 11, 2019, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Reverends Lewis Grant, Kevin Barnette, and Inez Ray will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
