On Saturday, September 10, 2016, we lost a wonderful man. After a courageous 6mo battle with cancer, Gregory (Gary) Alan Sprinkle passed on to a peaceful place with no more pain. Gary was born December 10, 1949, to the late JH Sprinkle Jr, and his mother, Louise Hogan Sprinkle. He never met a stranger and lived his life to the fullest. As long as he was able to stand he faced the world head on and with a smile. Many were amazed and inspired by his strength over cancer. Gary will be missed by his wife and best friend of 36yrs, Sandra Hensley-Sprinkle. His daughter (kiddo), Sabrina Sprinkle and Alistair B.; brother, James Sprinkle (Darleen); sister, Sabra Stewart (Bill) and his little fury buddy Samson. He leaves many more family members, golfing buddies, fellow Duke fans and many wonderful friends who have been a tremendous support to his family and each other. Remember, he left this world wanting smiles, not tears. A celebration of Gary's Life will be held 3:00pm Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Larry Leake and Pastor Ralph Shelton will conduct the service. Sandra and Sabrina will receive friends following the Celebration. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to John F.
