WEAVERVILLE: Gwen Dola English Fender, 71, of 31 Clarks Chapel Church Rd., passed away Thursday, October 20, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Madison County to the late Oscar and Nell Ball English. She was formerly employed with the Buncombe County School System. Surviving are her husband, Jarvis Fender, daughter, Debra Osteen ( Dean), son, Michael Fender, brothers; Carroll, Kermit and Val English, four grandchildren, Amanda Cain, Ashley,Fender, Leighton Cain and Kaitlyn Fender. No services are planned. The family will be at the residence at 31 Clarks Chapel Church Rd., Weaverville, NC. Memorials may be sent to Jarvis Fender, 31 Clarks Chapel Church Rd., Weaverville, NC 28787 in honor of Gwen to assist with medical expenses.
