Gwinnith Lloyd Metcalf, 84, of Mars Hill, passed away Sunday April 10, 2022, at Madison Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was the daughter of the late Minard and Climey Hensley Lloyd. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Chever Metcalf; sisters, Mafra Ray, Geneva Edwards, Juanita and Vonda Williams, Louise Shelton, and Brenda Rice; and two brothers, J.D., Frasier, and Winston Lloyd.

Gwinnith is survived by her daughter, Sharon "Betty" Morgan (Jeff); son, Harley Metcalf (Kathy); brother, Doyle Lloyd (Gail); grandchildren, Cody Morgan (Joanna) Matt Morgan, Jaime Candler (Nick), and Jake Metcalf (Cassidy); great grandchildren, Ian, Haven and Ransom Morgan, Anna and Avery Candler; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Rev. Doyle Lloyd will officiate. Burial will follow in Ivy Ridge First Church of God Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Gwinnith was a faithful member of Ivy Ridge First Church of God and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who loved her family dearly.
