Harold Dean Gosnell, 83, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025. He was born March 6, 1942 in Madison County. He was a son of the late Silvanes and Linnie Treadway Gosnell.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by the love of his life, Ruby Lee Gosnell who died in 1992; brothers, Herman, Starlin, James, Alonzo, Artie, and Charles (Bud) Gosnell; and sisters, Pauline Deaver, Lillie Mae King, Opal Gosnell, and Fronia Gunter.

Harold was a faithful, loving, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a hard worker who enjoyed farming and spending time with his family and friends.

Harold is survived by his children, Janice Ramsey, Cheryl Rollins (Bobby), Peggy Griffin (Kenny), and Harold Dean Gosnell II (Missy); sisters, Emma Lee Mitchell and Irene Gosnell; grandchildren, Bobby and Chris Norton, Hunter and Trevor Gosnell, Jay Michael Proffitt, and Hannah Griffin; and great grandchildren, Justin, Tyler, Maleigha, Ava, Mya, Mariah,and Zack Norton, Alex and Evan Gosnell, Rydder Hutchinson, and Jaxon Proffitt.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm, Thursday, August 14, 2025 in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service. Reverend Keith Waldroup will officiate. Burial will follow in the Tillman-Gosnell Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
