Harold "Lane" Merrill, 74, of 417 Sportsman Circle, Salem, SC, passed away August 15, 2016. He was the son of the late Gay and Beulah Sams Merrill. Lane was a US Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife Carolyn Angel Merrill; sons Tim Merrill (Susie) and Shawn Hyer; sister, Joyce Brigmon; brother, Lowell Merrill; grandchildren, Josh, Jacob and Jordan Merrill, and Emily Hyer; great grandchildren, Bryson, Julia and Audrey Merrill, Kylie and Jackson Jewel and several nieces and nephews. A private burial was held at Bull Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be at the home of Tim and Susie Merrill, 520 Merrill's Farm Dr., Marshall, NC 28753.
