Mr. Harold Grover Worley, 87, of Leicester, NC died on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. Harold was the son of the late Henry and Nola Davis Worley. He was also preceded in death by his wife: Mary Frances Adams Worley and a brother: Majuel Worley. Most of Harold's working life he was employed by Newport-News Shipyard where he was an engineer. He later became the Assistant Director of Engineering at Memorial Mission Hospital. His love for family and farming was the basis for his hobbies. He was an expert beekeeper, having them most of his life. He was a talented man who could graft trees, grow anything, and "witch" water to find wells for several families. He was always there to help anyone in need, from building homes to repairing vehicles and tractors. If there was ginseng anywhere, he could find it. He kept everyone around him laughing, telling stories about everyone, just like his Dad.

Harold is survived by his two daughters: Debra Harwood and Linda Henderson, a son: David Worley, a sister: Shirley Jean Hensley and husband Victor, six grandchildren: Jeffrey Harwood, Kenneth Harwood, Katie Barrera, Erik Henderson, David Worley, Jr., and Jonathan Worley, and seven great-grandchildren: Mayson, Jaxon, Jacob, Ezra, Elliot, Jaycee and Jade.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 2:00pm in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service with the Reverends Jimmy Moore and Mike Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The Worley family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at the funeral home prior the to funeral.
