Helen Greene Franklin, 85, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Jerry and Emily Gosnell Greene. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alonzo Franklin; sisters, Stella Gosnell, Edna Franklin, Euretha Coxey and Shirley Greene; and brothers, Elmer, Johnny and Junior Greene. She was the mother of Shirley Franklin (Don) and Ronnie Franklin (Susie); sister of Barbara Greene, Opal Greene, Betty Greene and Lois Greene; grandmother of Don Franklin, Jr (Kari), Anna Marie Hensley (Buddy) and Brooklyn Franklin; and great grandmother of Louis, Rosemary, Raelynn, Baylee and Peyton. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Monday, September 18, 2017 in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday with Reverends Danny Ricker and Solie Griffey officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Memory Gardens in Greeneville, TN.
