Helen Fisher Griffin, age 78, of Turkey Branch Rd. peacefully passed to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 24, 2021. She is the daughter of the late Rev. Vaughn and Carrie Briggs Fisher. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sisters, Nina Mae Reece, Eileen Griffin and Iva Greene and brothers, Ralph, Fred, V.C. and Howard Fisher. She was a longtime member and pianist of Gabriel's Creek Baptist Church. She loved her Lord, church, family, Gospel Music concerts, as well as camping, beach trips and Alaska.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Claude Griffin; daughters, Lana Grindstaff and Deana Weaver (Randy); sons, Anthony Griffin (Jennifer) and Matthew Griffin (Renee) and a sister, Grace Buckner; 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service with Reverends Gary Coates and Brian Hanrahan officiating. Burial will follow in the Griffin Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12:00 – 2:00 prior to the service.
