Helen Anderson Manning, age 86, passed away peacefully on October 21,2023. She was born in Asheville, North Carolina on July 14, 1937, to the late Jack Anderson and Jessie Ballard Anderson.

Loving mother and grandmother, she loved spending time in the woods, searching for mushrooms, ginseng and could name about any flower and plant, watching the bears and just enjoying nature. Helen worked for majority of her life in the hospitality industry. She will be missed by all who loved her. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Van Dickerson and William Manning.

Helen is survived by her daughters Dolores Wooten, Debbie Craine (Kenneth), Judy Dickerson, and Doris Ann Dickerson; sons Eddie Dean Webb, Dewayne Dickerson (Missy), and David Dickerson (Julie); her brother Richard Anderson; twenty-one grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Friday October 27, at 11:00 am, at Faith Independent Baptist Church, which she loved. Reverend Robert Reynolds will officiate. A burial will follow at Anderson Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am prior to the service.
