Helen Irene Bass Marler, 68 of Izzy Drive departed this life Sunday, October 4, 2014 at Park Ridge Hospital, Hendersonville. Mrs. Marler was a native of Barnardsville and daughter of the late Hubert and Willie Mae Wallen Bass. She is also preceded in death by her husband Coy Marler, sister, Aris Banks and four brothers, James, Howard, Frank and Donald Bass.

She is survived by her son, Jackie Marler ( Wendy); sister, Marie Sadler; brothers, Charles Bass (Brenda), Ronald Bass (Margaret), Jesse Bass (Ruby), and Burnice Bass; grandchildren, Felisha Marler Hayes (Nathan), Caleb and Jacob Marler; great grandchild, Lydia Hayes; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, October 8, 2015 in Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service with Reverend Cliff Franks officiating. Burial will be held at Faith Independent Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
