Herbert D. Barnette, age 89, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019. He was the son of the late Oliver and Viola King Barnette. He is preceded in death by his son, Greg Barnette and eight brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Flora Young Barnette; sons, Kevin Barnette (Recy), Jerry Carson (June), David Carson, Dennis Carson, and Larry Carson (Ronda); 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 12:00PM Monday, December 2, 2019 at Mount Olive Baptist Church with Reverends Kevin Burnette and Lewis Grant officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.
