Hester Wyatt Martin, 97, passed away on March 26, 2025. She was born on July 13, 1927 in Madison County and was a daughter of the late Elbert and Moring Moneyham Wyatt.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Ruben Gunter; second husband, Paul E. Martin who died in 2007; infant daughter, Edna Marie Gunter; son, Alonzo Inman; sisters, Rebecca Wyatt, Mary Jane Holt, Helen Caldwell, Della Haynie, Dora Shetley and Jane Messer; brothers, John Riley Wyatt and Charlie Thomas Wyatt; and daughter-in-law, Gale, Judy and Sonja Gunter.

Hester is survived by her sons, R.D. Gunter (Beverly) and Dallas Gunter; daughter-in-law, Elvie Inman; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, April 14, 2025 in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service. Reverend James Shetley will officiate. Burial will follow in the Ebbs Cemetery, Hot Springs, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
