Hoyt Allen Ball, 71, of Weaverville, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021. He was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County and the son of the late Wade and Jamie Sheppard Ball.In addition to his parents, is preceded in death by a sister, Freida Harwood. Hoyt retired from Ball Brothers Glass Manufacturing and loved racing and camping with family and friends.

Hoyt is survived by his wife of 54 years, Myra Proffitt Ball; sons, Pressley Ball and Tony Ball (Eliza); sister, Glenda Shook (Billy); grandchildren, Felisha Ball, Savannah Stafford (Randy), Austin, Cale, and Kylee Ball; and great grandchildren, Gracie and Desiree Ball, Briar Frisby, and Maisie Stafford.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30pm Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at Laurelton Chapel Cemetery. Reverends Ken Parker and Anthony Fox will officiate. Pressley and Tony Ball, Steven, Scottie, Reagan, and Gary Proffitt will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm Wednesday at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service.
