Iva Lee Shelton Griffey, 85, of Greeneville, TN, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019. She was a native of Madison County and the daughter of the late Kie and Violet Vest Shelton. Mrs. Griffey was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Griffey, Sr.; daughter, Sherry Shelton Mayon; son, Leonard Franklin; daughter-in-law, Sandra Wilson; sisters, Zetti Lamb and Vieannie Metcalf; and brothers, Gilbert Bailey, Voad, James, and Clinton Shelton.

Mrs. Griffey is survived by her sons, Larry and Michael Shelton; son-in-law, Ray Mayon Sr.; grandchildren, Ray Jr., Randy, Jerry, Dana, and Danielle Mayon, Larry Jr. and Jamie Lee Shelton, DJ Wilson, Jeremy Shelton, Brittany Stanton, Shannon Metcalf, and John Franklin;brother-in-law, Robert Metcalf; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11am Saturday, December 14, 2019, at Redeemed Baptist Church. Reverends Everet Shelton and Raymond Cantrell will officiate. Burial will follow in the Griffey Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8pm Friday at the church.
