Obituary

Ivarene Ammons Marlor, 89, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

A native of Madison County, she was raised in the Grapevine community and lived most of her adult life in Sandy Mush. She was a loving wife, mother, and granny. She took pleasure in taking care of her family through gardening, canning, cooking, and sewing. She was creative and resourceful and kept her children and grandchildren entertained with stories for hours.

Ivarene was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Marlor, her daughter, Robbie Black, and her parents, Andrew and Mary Ingle Ammons, and siblings.

She is survived by her children, Christine Bradburn (Rex), Don L. Marlor, Randy Marlor (Lisa), and Arlin Marlor; a son-in-law, Dennis Black; six grandchildren, Rexann Wood (Jody), Amanda Lesley (Shawn), Steven Marlor, Jackie Gosnell (Martin), Don Marlor (Michaela), and Jamie Marlor; eleven great-grandchildren, Kenan, Lydia, Madelyn, Levi, and Matilda Wood, James Lesley (Brynn), Elizabeth Lesley, Alexis and Austin Gosnell, and Timothy and Lucas Marlor; and one great-great-grandchild, Jeremiah Marlor.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday June 8, 2024 in the Boyd Family Cemetery in Worley Cove.
